Alexander Chege
I was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya — surrounded by vibrant light, untamed landscapes, and the raw energy of human connection. My love for photography began at 16 with a borrowed film camera, and I've never looked back.
After studying Fine Art Photography at the School of Visual Arts in New York, I worked alongside legendary photojournalists and fashion editors. But my truest education came from the streets of Marrakech, the golden plains of the Maasai Mara, and the intimate quiet of a bride's first look.
Today, I split my time between Nairobi and New York, traveling worldwide to document weddings, editorials, and authentic human stories. My work has been featured in Vogue Italia, British Journal of Photography, and CNN Style.

Photography is not about clicking a button — it's about feeling a heartbeat, anticipating a tear, and freezing a legacy.

I never force poses. The most powerful images are the unplanned ones — genuine laughter, quiet glances, and raw emotion.

Trends fade, but emotion is eternal. My editing style is classic, warm, and film-inspired — never overprocessed.
